About this directory
What this is
This site lists 273 cafes across Puchong, from kopitiam corners in Bandar Puteri to specialty roasters near IOI Boulevard. It’s built for people trying to answer a simple question fast: where’s a decent cafe near me right now, and is it actually good or just loud on Instagram.
We’re not a booking platform and we don’t take orders or reservations. Think of this as a reference layer sitting on top of public information, organised so you can compare cafes on the same terms instead of scrolling through scattered posts.
Who it’s for
If you want a quiet spot to work for three hours on one coffee, a family-friendly place with actual parking, or just the highest-rated espresso in a specific neighbourhood, the directory is built around those searches. Each listing is meant to answer the practical questions before you drive over: hours, seating, price range, and what people consistently say about the place.
Where the data comes from
Every listing starts with public business information: address, hours, contact details, and category. On top of that, we synthesise recent Google reviews to build a picture of sentiment and consistency over time. We do not copy or republish review text. Instead, we summarise patterns and link out to the source on Google so you can read the original reviews yourself.
A business owner can log in and correct factual details on their own listing, things like a wrong phone number, updated hours, or a moved location. What an owner cannot do is edit their score, sentiment summary, or ranking position. Those are generated the same way for every listing, based on the data, not on who’s asking.
How ranking actually works
Rankings come from a published rubric applied to the data we collect, nothing else. There’s no manual boost, no “featured for a fee” tier that moves a cafe up the list. If a business wants to know exactly how the number is built, the full breakdown is on the /methodology/ page.
Sponsorship, kept separate
Some cafes pay to appear in a labelled “Sponsored” slot, shown apart from the earned ranking and always marked clearly as sponsored. Paying for that placement has no effect on a cafe’s actual score or where it sits in the ranked list. The two systems don’t touch each other.
Who’s behind it
The directory is published by Sarah Lim, who has spent 15 years in food blogging and marketing around the Klang Valley. Sarah maintains the editorial oversight on rankings and refreshes the underlying data monthly so details don’t go stale. You’ll notice a “last verified” stamp on each listing, that’s the marker of when it was last checked, not a one-time setup that’s been left to rot.

FAQ
- Can a cafe pay to rank higher?
- No. Payment only buys a labelled Sponsored slot shown separately from the list. It has no effect on the earned score or ranking position.
- Do you post review text from Google?
- No. We synthesise patterns from recent reviews and link out to the original source on Google rather than republishing the text.
- Can a business fix wrong info on its own listing?
- Yes, owners can correct facts like hours, address, or contact details. They cannot change their score, sentiment summary, or ranking.
- How often is the data updated?
- The full directory is refreshed monthly, and each listing shows a last verified date so you can see when it was last checked.
